Transforming lives and changing the world
Our Story
At EduTech Global, we’re dedicated to transforming education in Africa and emerging markets using technology. Our mission is to provide access to global education opportunities and push the boundaries of learning.
As a leading organization in the rapidly growing global and African Edtech markets, we offer a range of services through our subsidiaries. By partnering strategically with organizations, academic institutions, and stakeholders worldwide, we cater to the needs of learning institutions, corporations, government entities, and students.
Since our establishment in 2011, we’ve been committed to democratising education access, particularly for Nigerian students pursuing higher education. Our achievements include:
- Forming partnerships with over 50 global academic and financial institutions.
- Providing thousands of African students with opportunities for higher education.
- Generating substantial value for our academic partners.
- Developing and commercializing cutting-edge eLearning technology products.
Headquartered in Delaware, United States, EduTech Global operates as a holding company overseeing multiple subsidiaries. This structure allows us to centralize shared services and foster the growth of future Edtech companies. Each subsidiary operates independently with its own team, processes, brand, and strategic objectives while sharing our vision of global expansion.
Driven by our commitment to impact education profoundly, we leverage technology to redefine learning. Our initial focus is on Africa, with plans to expand to other regions. Guided by the belief that education is transformative, we offer a portfolio of services including education software-as-a-service, education financing, and student recruitment and advisory.
2021 to date
Growth, Scale, and Global Expansion
EduTech Global was formed as a parent company with 3 subsidiaries focused on delivering products and services within the education space: EduTech (Academic Partnerships), VigiLearn (SaaS), Bursery (Education Financing)
Onboarding some of the top institutions globally to offer their programmes and courses within Africa and other select markets
Spreading our reach into global and regional markets as we diversified our service offerings
2018 - 2020
Monetizing our Products and Scaling
As we onboarded more institutions, our commitment was to grow and increase student numbers for our partners. This involved a mix of targeted marketing campaigns, conversion initiatives, and effective customer support.
We began designing methods to offer our products as stand-alone services while tapping into their key value offerings to enable them to scale in the market.
At this point, our products and solutions were already being used by thousands of students across several institutions so ensuring we offer a reliable, easy to use and the feature-packed product was our priority.
2011 - 2017
Developing our Products and Cracking Regulatory Hurdles
Investing in technical infrastructure by building software solutions that will provide easy access to education and scale across the country.
We began the process of building relationships within the education sector which led to striking partnerships with some of the foremost universities in the country.
Online degree programmes by a Nigerian institution was unheard of at the time so we worked with institutions and regulators to drive the importance and value of online learning.
Our vision was to use technology to bridge the education gap, and our focus was to enable student’s access degree programmes regardless of any physical limitations.
Vision
To lead the charge towards the global proliferation of education.
Mission
Transforming the future by investing in people and technology.
